A career for the future is very important to me. It means I will have a job to support all of my future aspirations, both career and not career oriented. But, in order for me make everything I want to have happen in my future a reality, I must have people back me up with great things to say to get me to the next level.
My idea of the best people to recommend me and help get me to my next level of achievement, are those that are most like me. They are the people who share the same ideas as me about integrity, intelligence, work ethic, values, and morals, all important in getting me to where I want to go. These are the people who can provide me with the best recommendations and reflections to job seekers who are looking for the very things I possess.
Any professors that end up being my references are most likely going to be those that teach classes pertaining to my major and know my best areas of quality in their classes. They are going to be the ones who can explain to job seekers my strengths and how I can contribute to the job position I desire in their business.
Other professors who may be the best references for me are those who know my personality the best. They can describe to businesses my best qualities in the ways they see them. They can explain how I bring my personality into their classroom as well as in my work with their class in the very best ways.
My mentors I look for are the ones most closely related to my major, as well as my personality. They are going to be those people I can relate to the closest, and who can back me up in all of my aspirations. Mentors who have the very closest understanding of what I am looking for to make everything in my future worthwhile.

New Club
While venturing around clubfest, I ran into the booth for Dance Marathon. I had heard from many people that Dance Marathon is a great activity to get involved in while at ISU for a great cause as well. Since I have always loved to dance, and was looking for a worthy club to get involved in, I listened to what they had to say about the event.
After listening to the representatives at the booth, I was sold. I discovered this was a great event and is the largest student-run philanthropy at ISU. The group last year had raised so much money for all of the children in need of it and had loads of fun doing it. Not only did the ISU students of the group have fun eating, dancing, and doing other activities, but they were able to interact with all of those children’s families throughout the Dance Marathon event and even on other occasions. It means a lot to me to know I am a part of something so great for all families of children in need.
By becoming involved in Dance Marathon my freshman year, I have the greatest chance of being selected to be in an executive position in my later years at ISU. This will be a great opportunity for me to not only have it for a resume builder, but use it in my favor to build my character and leadership abilities in my adventure at ISU.
I am deeply looking forward to this event, and all that comes along with it. Things like the fundraising, activities, and the new leadership abilities formed over the course of the involvement.

9-21-09 blog #1
The time of my life when I was at my best, I would have to say was the last semester of my senior year. It was the time when I was working my hardest in all of my relationships, applying for scholarships, making my grades the best they could be, and working to make great strides in my physical therapy.
I knew I needed to make my grades the best they could be so I could graduate with honors. Physical therapy was a very important focus if I wanted to be able to dance for my senior solo in May. Since I knew these were the last times with most of the people I had grown up with, I knew I needed to make the best out of what we had left with one another. But most importantly, I knew I needed to work for all the scholarships possible so I could have the money to go to college.
The last semester of high school was most helpful to me in this transition to college because it was a time where I needed to develop the best work ethic to be out on my own. This was the time where I felt the most accomplished as well. I was getting straight A’s in all of my classes, including my advanced placement classes. I was making tremendous strides in physical therapy where I started to be able to have the capability to do things I hadn’t been able to do for months. I was having wonderful times with my friends making memories and getting along because we knew they were the times to be treasured. Then on top of everything, I was receiving scholarship money in order to help me finance college, which made me most ecstatic!
My life was turned around to where I felt the best I could be, and was having the best times I had ever had while in high school as well. I definitely walked out of my high school knowing I gave it the best I could before my time was up. And that was the most important thing, for me, to leave with.
