The time of my life when I was at my best, I would have to say was the last semester of my senior year. It was the time when I was working my hardest in all of my relationships, applying for scholarships, making my grades the best they could be, and working to make great strides in my physical therapy.
I knew I needed to make my grades the best they could be so I could graduate with honors. Physical therapy was a very important focus if I wanted to be able to dance for my senior solo in May. Since I knew these were the last times with most of the people I had grown up with, I knew I needed to make the best out of what we had left with one another. But most importantly, I knew I needed to work for all the scholarships possible so I could have the money to go to college.
The last semester of high school was most helpful to me in this transition to college because it was a time where I needed to develop the best work ethic to be out on my own. This was the time where I felt the most accomplished as well. I was getting straight A’s in all of my classes, including my advanced placement classes. I was making tremendous strides in physical therapy where I started to be able to have the capability to do things I hadn’t been able to do for months. I was having wonderful times with my friends making memories and getting along because we knew they were the times to be treasured. Then on top of everything, I was receiving scholarship money in order to help me finance college, which made me most ecstatic!
My life was turned around to where I felt the best I could be, and was having the best times I had ever had while in high school as well. I definitely walked out of my high school knowing I gave it the best I could before my time was up. And that was the most important thing, for me, to leave with.

It is good to know that you feel you gave it your best and aren't having regrets wishing you could go back cause you didn't give it your all. This might be off the topic, but I love dance, I danced for 13 years doing ballet, toe, tap, & jazz and I'm now in ballroom dancing, I also had a senior piece. What dance do/did you do?
ReplyDeleteTts great that you able to make your best moment your senior year. I wish I could go back to my senior year and re-live it. It looks like you have no need to, you made it a very successful time in your life.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how well you did even though you had so many things going on. Instead of trying to do your best in one thing, you had several things going on at the same time that you were working hard at.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you put your heart into what you wanted to accomplish. Though I am left wondering why did you need physical therapy? Also what kind of dance did you do?
ReplyDeleteYou should be very proud, you put all you had into it, and you succeeded above what most could do. AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteOh man, I would be heartbroken but at least you were able to work yourself back up. My solo was where I danced jazz to a song my dad sang when he was in a band and it was a whole surprise thing and my whole family was there. I was a nervous wreck.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a busy senior year but made the most of it. That's good that you put everything you had into it.
ReplyDeleteDoing all those things at the same time doesn't sound easy, and those things are even harder to do then they sound! Working hard with a lot of pressure and a lot on your mind is probably a very important skill to gain before coming to college. That's great that you did all those and succeeded!
ReplyDeleteI found it so hard to push to the end of high school, i just wanted to get out of there and be done. It sounds like it was a lot more difficult for you with your physical therapy and everything, i'm glad that you did so well!
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to balance out so many aspects of life and feel you did your best at them. Good job giving it your all and not feeling any regrets when you left!
ReplyDeletei am glad that u know that you left highschool knowign that u did ur best. now you just need to apply that philsopy to college and youll be set.
ReplyDeleteThat's good, that you could stay focused and puch yourself at the end of high school. It's being able to do those things that will set you apart at interviews or internships. Just remember your goal and keep going. Keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteI also had to do physical therapy my senior year. It takes alot of mental toughness. Haveing an end goal in mind like yourself and make tough times go much better.
ReplyDeleteSomething like this is really tough! I've got a friend who tore his acl during basketball season his senior year, and he almost missed a trip to state track because of it. I know he was really beat up about it, so it's great to see you pulled through.
ReplyDeleteIts nice to know you left high school knowing you did your best without regrets its not something that can be said for everyone.
